The cannabis of today started out as "weed" in the 60's and 70's but has grown into a  hybridized plant that requires a lot of care and understanding. That is why the cultivator is very important to the consumer. Many cultivators grow the same strain but each applys their own touch to the process to get the type of finished product they are personally looking for. They grow in small batches so they can have more control over the when and how to harvest. And they hand trim to preserve the trichomes on the flowers.
